Seller doesnt have the names? No lineage so they are just nice acro colonies then. As long as your not paying lineage prices then dont worry about a name.

No, the seller doesn’t care about the names which is why I’m getting them at low price. I’m getting the frags by the way. Having the names would help me to identify the corals easier in the future.

Since the seller doesnt know the name if any then they are just maricultured acropora.

The whole deal with named pieces, is they carry a lineage, that should be able to be traced back to the original person who named it aka found it.
Then you know what the potential is for said coral to look like, given the proper parameters/ lighting and flow.

Appreciate that. I recently took an interest in sps corals and I’m excited to have them!

Most likely some Indo colonies that just came in and are getting chopped, thus the reason for no names.

Of course, I dip all kinds of corals and that’s why I do not have pests and nuisance algae in my system

Those all appear to be maricultured pieces. If the seller doesn't know lineage (and maricultured pieces would not have lineage) then they are just Acropora and you definitely should not pay lineaged prices for them. They look nice and if the frags do well you should end up with some nice pieces. The last 3 appear to be Acropora millepora...

6 may or may not be a millepora. I have the same exact coral from an indo shipment. A. prostrata I think but that apparently is a defunct name. I hope you get good frags. From what I can tell "chop shop" indo frags do not survive well. FYI I purchased an entire 4" colony (about the size pictured) of #6 for about 90 dollars from ASD.

For what it’s worth it looks like all of those corals have acclimated to tanks already and started growing. None of them look like fresh wild corals so the frags should not be much of a risk if you have a good system. And yea prostrata is now lumped I’m under mille. The only difference I could ever tell was prostrata looked a little longer in the branches which isn’t a real way to I’d acros so probably why it’s the same now.
