So an electrician informed me recently that i'm on the verge of cooking the wire in my house due to the 28amp load from all of the tank pumps, lights, ect. I figured the easiest thing todo would be switch from MH to led. Currenly run 4x 250W mogul MH with radium 20k lamps.

Cost really isn't too much of a consideration - what are the best LED's that would be suitable for an all SPS tank? Its 96" L x 24 x 24. Ideally i would like to be able to control them either thru my reef keeper or iphone.

I was considering 4x maxarra or 4x ecotech's new led fixtures. What would you do if you could buy any led light out there? I have heard that SPS can bleach out from the adjustment since the LEDs are much more powerful even though they don't appear to be. Any truth to that?

There are several good options out there, but I don't know what I'd consider best. I ended up making my own so that I could get what I wanted.

It is definitely possible to bleach them when you switch to LEDs. You might want to see if you can rent or buy a PAR meter before you set them up.

Check out reefledlights.com I've been doing some research on LED's as of late and found their site pretty helpful on how to convert from MH.

I've got 5 different kinds of led. Ecotech, maxspect, reef rite, evolution and aquaillumination. If efficiency is the name of the game Aquaillumination is unrivaled. I have a par meter and they blow even ecotech away watt to par.
