city tap water rinses 200+

Bruttal I can understand your concern I once thought that too, it’s just that evolution in practice has happened

few other reef boards allow such experiments that’s why it’s unique process to rtr

not rinsing sand kills some systems, examples linked on page one under warnings, keeping bacteria at all costs has a consequence for some reefers but clean rinsing protects all tanks we show.

rinsing sand in city tap stops all tank loss, and yes it does kill bacteria on sand, the key is that’s ok and our tanks don’t miss them we can see in each outcome. We are careful with the rocks, those aren’t rinsed in tap water, we keep rock bacteria. Sand is a big old diaper we blast rinse it clean. *we only rinse in tap briefly, to earn clean settings, then final rinse in ro water to evacuate the tap, leaving perfectly clean sand to be xferred to the new tank

Ok..so I have fuvel 13.5 an been running for all most a year have had some battles but have beat them lol so my question is I found a 20 gal acrylic tank an I have made a 10 gal sump for it. In the process of build a stand an all that good stuff. So real question is when my new tank an stands ready can I just take the live rock an water from the small tank an but in the bigger tank. An will thing be ok or do I have to fill the new tank an let cycle..

I think the answer to your question is pretty obvious... Keep the 13.5, start the 20 gal new.
