I have a Waterbook 220 and have two MP40s on it (one on each side). I have some dead spots and am looking for more flow. Would adding a Nero pump where the overflow is be a good idea? Basically having it point straight at the front glass panel.
Any other suggestions?

Try putting the two mp40’s on the back wall

Seems like that would be overkill, but worth looking into. Thanks!
Unfortunately, I've found MP40's to be a bad flow option for tanks over 5ft, and work best on 4ft tanks and smaller. I went through your build thread and found a FTS showing your rockwork. I would add a more directional flow pump, like a Tunze Turbelle Stream 6125 to each side, higher and toward the back. Then slide the MP40's toward the front a few inches.

Thanks! Super helpful. Will look into it.

What Vortech mode are you using?

Two MP40s on left and right walls set for a loooong pulse of 30secs will move a heck of a lot of water in one direction for 30secs.... then the opposite direction for 30secs.

If you have deadspots then it says more about where your LR is aquascaped causing hidden pockets...than blaming the MP40s
