Would be great to have a way to save settings or have a few pre sets out there to try and adjust according to tank lights

Morning everybody! It's a nice gray/cold morning in Chicago. Great for staying inside and doing some much needed monthly maintenance. :-D

Just a heads up, I'm adding a group of new testers to the app just this morning so look out for those email invites from Apple.

Also, those testing will be in line to test another app I've been working on for some time. It's a utility that I've wanted/needed since I started keeping fish only tanks back in the early '90s. No spoilers, but I think it's going to be really fun. So, sign up and I'll make sure you get on the beta test for both! Finally, if you've legit bought the app on the store, thanks so much! You guys rock!

If you guys start using the beta apps to post on social media, would you mind using the hashtag #aquariumcamera just so I can find all the pics out there in the world? I might try bringing in the feed to the website. Few more Beta testers added this morning. Happy testing!

Hey all! New testing build almost ready.

Okay, so let me know if you think this is not necessary. What if there was a mode that simulates a gel being placed over the camera? Here's the catch, it's going to look at how blue the whole frame is and try to automatically determine how orange the gel needs to be.

OR

We keep the RGB mode in full force like it is and don't break it if it's really working.

Thoughts?

Rockin. Yeah and again there is another app I’ll need some testers for so sign up on the website and I’ll make sure you get on both.

Also, random, I just released a butterfly fish sticker pack for iMessage if anybody is interested. The artist Scott Patridge is unbelievable with his attention to detail. 88 in total. It’s insane. I flipping love them. Worth wayyyyyyy more than a dollar but such is app life.

Is it too late to sign up for this free beta test?

I do like version 2 much better but I still have a hard time with focusing with as much shimmer my tank produces.

It seems like when the light shimmers off of something in frame it messes with the focus. Other than that I think this is a great, low cost app for that quick photo shoot.

Thanks for sharing! What kind of lighting to do you have on this tank?
The manual focus is on my roadmap, I was just concerned that there might be too many dials on the app. Maybe there's a simple way to solve this.

Anybody at the Aquatic Experience in Chicago this weekend?
Took these before and afters at the Kessil booth on the A80's, yesterday.

Quick update. Last night, I finally got a decent fully-automatic mode working (the original dream). So far, tests on my AI Nano are stellar. Hoping it works on the super blue tanks (will need your help big time). I'm keeping the manual controls in place since there's such a wide variety of needs. I'm delaying Android development a bit just until we see this one working. If it works it's going to speed up the photo taking process like crazy.

I'll get a new test build out this week but I'm really pumped about this one. It takes full advantage of the GPU and simulates an orange gel on your phone but it goes further by dynamically determining the gel temperature (dark orange, bright orange, more yellow, etc) #science. Attaching a screenshot of the new control layout.

Version 3.0 also will include auto/manual toggles per adjustment [temp, rgb, brightness]. I'm going to address the brightness sensitivity in the next version after this one because I need to refine the UI quite a bit to do that. Also, need to rethink how to add manual focus (it's getting slider-crazy) @chuckfu5.

Thanks again for all your testing! It's been HUGE to make the app even better (and frankly keeps me excited to keep improving it).

I have the app but it doesn’t work with the iPhoneX. Just crashes when opening it
