Need more testers for Aquarium Camera app ver 2.0

John,
I just downloaded the app. Is there some instructions or tricks i need to follow in order to get good pictures?

Just signed up for the pixel XL! Looking forward to it

Generally it’s good to start with just the WB mode and seeing what results you get with that. From there subtle changes in the RGB can polish off a shot. I usually then do Gel mode as last resort because it’s the most powerful keeping it in auto mode vs manually adjusting it. Then go back and make a few fine fine adjustments in WB mode.

Let me know if that’s helpful. It’d love to give you real values but I learned over time that all our systems and lighting is so different there is no silver bullet setting.

Hey John, do you do group invites every X weeks or is it a per case basis? Can't wait to get my hands on it

Thank you for building a camera app that allows us to take better pictures.

Just found this thread. Signed up to beta test and got the email. Thanks!

Downloaded the app a few months go after seeing other people's beautiful pictures. Guessing they were using Apple.

Just checked the app again tonight and it is fully updated.

Using a Samsung Galaxy S9 plus.

The low resolution problem from a few months ago is now fixed. Thank you.

My pictures still stink. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

They look good to me !!!
Thank you.

Unfortunately they look nothing like the beautiful pictures other people have taken.

Still aiming for those.

Still working on various settings but nothing good yet.

Greens come out perfect. My rock has a lot of coralline, but nothing that beautiful pink in some of the pictures.

Both pictures taken with regular phone camera.

First 1 is a cheat picture with room lights on.
2nd picture is with room lights off. Just aquarium lighting (heavy blues) and regular camera on phone.

Not much difference between this and the aquarium app.

Is my regular camera that good or do I need to work on better settings in Aquarium app?

The other issue is none of these pictures is as nice as some of the ones earlier in this thread.

Thank you for your suggestions!

I have the app ,but I’m on iPhone .....
Lol, I guess those do have *some* uses.

Sister has an iPhone. We go back and forth about them.
Now I'll have to call her and admit it does something better.

After you get the filter set to your preference try using your white balance to bring colors to a more natural look.. also before you start make sure the app is closed off and then point your phone at tank before opening the app that seems to help.

Just downloaded the android app to our Pixel-2

Every time the phone is sides ways, for a landscape shot the app locks up...

Got any help?

I have the Pixel 2 also. Haven't used the app in awhile, but just gave it a try. No problem for me, o_O

I think the phone app takes a better pic though.
