I recently rescued a 100g acrylic tank that that was in neglect, came w two awesome fish 1 sailfin, 6-7" & 1 royal blue tang 4-5" wich are obviously too big for the tank & need to find better homes, my goal was/is to help these fish have better/happier lives, I've had these two beautiful fish for a while now but I can't keep them & dont have room for bigger tanks, my lfs can't take them so I'm looking for help in re-homing these two, can anyone help them?

Hi,

Where are you located in Colorado? I have a 50 gal 1 year old tank that only had a clown fish in it. It can probably house 1 or both of these tangs.

They get and probably are already too big for a 50. In the original post he said they're too big for a 100 gallon tank, which I'd agree with.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply, I'm in the Boulder area and I would love to find new homes for these guys mainly because my 100g tank is too small & they're gettin BIG & aren't really happy in there, as I understand it each of these fish will get to 15"+ & they are kinda high maintenance so I don't think a 50g will be adequate as the minimum tank size for most tangs is 150g or more because they are big open water swimmers by nature & need lots of rocks & room to roam in, also keeping more than one tang in any tank can be abit tricky because they're territorial & fiesty!
