Right now, I have a BM Curve 9 skimmer on a 250 gallon system. Im thinking I would like to upgrade. My only issue is I need one with similar dims.

Dimensions: 9.25"L x 11.6"W x 23.6"H
Water Level :9.5"-11

Check out the Reef Octo line.....these skimmers are solid and should provide plenty satisfaction. Remember to go +1 on the skimmer!

They are sometimes difficult to come by new these days but I have always been a fan of the SWC skimmers. Only problem is you will likely have to buy used. After that I have read good reviews on the Aquamaxx cone series skimmers and skimz as well.

I get it with the Reef Octopus though. IMO they are some of the most overpriced and overrated skimmers out there.

Lifereef.
I had several Skimmers, Vertex, BM, BK, ATB.
From all of those the ATB was a great skimmer but just to replace the pump was a pita.
Lifereef you can use any pump if you like, Jeff (great guy) recommends the Mag pumps.
I just replaced my pump on the Lifereef with a Ecotech Vectra, no difference in skimming but just a piece of mind.
As mentioned before set and forget, and ten years warranty on the body, can't beat that either.

fwiw if you can find a way to mount a skimmer externally then I would go with that option. I understand you gave specific dimensions but not sure if that is only cause of sump size limitations. Going external has been the best thing I've done for my system and created a lot of stability for me. I am using an RO 110 Ext running off a feed from my return pump.
