The most common reply you will probably get is dose the liquid ammon and then test your water to see if your ammon. Reads zero after 24 hours. I wouldn’t add more ammon chloride until your ammon levels get back to reading pretty close to zero’ish
Don’t overdose the ammonia - make sure you dose for your amount of water volume in your tank, not the size of your tank. (Take the amount of sand and rock that’s in your tank into account )
I would say that it helps to make sure your testing every day to watch your ammonia levels. (Even though, from what I understand, is that most of the testing kits aren’t very accurate)
Be patient - I did the bacteria in a bottle along with ammon chloride —- I added a fish to my tank at day 15.
