I would like to run a herbie style drain on my new tank but it only has 2 holes drilled on the bottom so I have a few options and need opinions.

1) Run herbie and have the return plumbing go over the back of the tank.

2) Run herbie and drill holes for the returns on the back.

3) Run a durso

What would you do? Tank is a 150g.

What size are the holes ? Probably one is drain one is return or two drains and you have run return over back plenty of options.

Don't remember off the top of my head I'm currently out of town. I'm pretty sure they're the same though

If you run a durso, there is a trick. I have an aquarium that came with durso equipped drains. The durso was 1.5 inch but it the line at the other end of the bulk head was 1 inch. The idea is having an oversized durso makes for less gurgling. It must work because these are very quiet.
