Need Opinions From The Gig Lovers Crowd

Take a look at the photo - this guy has just finished day 11 of treatment .. ate twice ( very small piece of squid ) .. after each- feeding he pooped and deflated then was back to normal the next morning.. Take a look at the mouth (enlarge the photo as much as you can) .. Do you think this one needs more ..or is just about done ? was only planning on doing 12 days .. but can either move him to another tank after the 12 days for observation , or continue the treatment for another few days where he is..

I think he's good to go. One of my gigs which I've had for years almost perpetually has that outtie belly button look lol.

Well , Jamie1210 , thanks for the input ..but just to play it safe -i'm gonna move him to a different tank , solo,drug free for a while - so I can just observe him ..

I always recommend at least a week of observation, either in the QT tank or a different one. That means not moving it to the DT (but it doesn't sound like this was the plan in the first place). I'd like to see no deflations (even after eating) before I would consider it "cured" of the ailment. Lastly, I'd also like to see more tentacle extension. The short, pointy tentacles aren't typically indicative of a healthy gig.

Agreed ... all the rest of this batch I got @ PEA this time have the short pointy tentacles also..but they eat and never deflate after feeding...mouth is tight as well... From what I've seen in the past , usually a week or 2 after the abx are out of the water...the tentacles begin to extend more..

Can't say this enough here : Treat everything you get from PEA regardless of how it looks when it comes in .. whatever causes The "inflate/deflate" condition -is in the system there...I've even seen it with the crispas he had on there ...and that $349 green/yellow Hadoni he has posted . Most (at least 95%) of the stuff they get in there -doesn't succumb to it because of the excellent conditions - but it's there . FWIW
