I am working on the aquascape for my new 96”L x 24”W x 28”H tank. The board the scape is sitting on is 96” x 24” so what you see is the actual size of the tank.

The structure on the far right and in the middle are all glued together and I am very happy with them. Unfortunately, the pics to not give you any idea of the detail in those pieces. They look great in person with tons of surface area for coral placement but in the pics they kind a look 2 dimensional.

The structure all the way on the left is not glued together. I can make this anyway I want. I can also take these three different structures and trade places with other structures. With that in mind, I wanted to see what you guys thought about the balance of it all.

Any input on if I should be moving one structure over to the other side or what do you think looks good? What would you do with the pile of rock that is not glued together over on the left? Would you make it similar Height to the other two structures? I am open to any and all opinions. What do you guys think?

Personally, I'd move the center structure to the left, possibly re-angle the left one ... Looks too centered now ... BUT, whatever YOU like is the way to go!

I prefer structures to vary in levels so they look more natural and flowing, just my opinion, but really it will all change depending on coral growth eventually anyway

I really like where you’re going with the scape. I wouldn’t touch anything other than maybe the left one. That’s where I would maybe make it a little taller and make some sort of cave. So fish could hide and it’ll just give you domething different for viewing since most of your scape is very open.

The rock is fantastic!
It looks a little close to the edge on the right, where it might be difficult to put growing stuff and avoid hitting the glass, or limit access as things grow?

Looks good .. but you’ll probably change/add to it in the first year , you never mentioned what sort of corals you want .. will you go sps ... or mixed reef or just softies .. this will also have an effect on your scape when you start adding corals ... try to imagine how it will look when it’s filled out .. !!

Use your paint program and color in some imaginary coral and re-evaluate changes yourself for approval and even repost that picture for further opinion. I like the way it looks now

Great advice all. That is what I am looking for. I have stared and stared at it, moved it around, and then stared at it some more. Just need some fresh sets of eyes on it at this point.

In terms of coral probably 75% SPS and 25% LPS. That is the mix I have now and actually my goal is to take the corals I have crammed in a Reefer 525xl and spread them out so they can grow. The frags have turned into mini colonies/colonies and they are getting close to touching.

Yeah, there is only maybe 3” between the glass and that edge of the rock. I wanted to be sure I could get my algae magnet in there. However, that will limit coral growth in that spot. I think I will move it over some more. Thanks for the input!
