Looking at a 60 gallon tank, on the longer side.
Here’s my fish list so far:
Sapphire damsel (currently in one of my tanks)
Carpenters fairy wrasse
Midas blenny
Orchid dottyback

I feel like I should have more fish in a 60. what do you guys think?

Damsel and dottyback can be quite aggressive, especially with the fairy wrasse. Fairy wrasses like peaceful tanks mates.

FOWLR or reef?

hi orchid may be bully to both midas and wrasse,sm tang could not hurt until he outgrows, atlantic blue, convict, are slow growing tangs imo

I’d prefer to stay away from tangs. I’m not a fan of rehoming. i must have had the weird orchids then lol the one I had a while ago was super chill.
ive never been a fish person so I’m not sure what else to put. Damsel has to go in there (hubby wouldn’t ever let me get rid of him) and I absolutely want a Midas blenny and a wrasse that doesn't need sand.
What are you suggestions?

leopard wrasse, and definatley a full screen top :)

I thought leopards were hard fish-don’t get me wrong I’ve been in the hobby a while but not sure I want to take on the hardest of the hard lol
I plan on having plenty of live rock and hiding spots, if I just did those 4, what do you think would happen?

Most likely they would all be introduced at the same time

i think orchid would end up alone w damsel

a lot of nice colorful wrasses out there compatable and do not require sandbed

What’s the difference between the carpenter and McCosker aggression wise?

Aww that ones adorable :)
I assume not shrimp safe? I don’t like shrimp anyway but it’s nice to know lol

Mostly safe with fire and skunk cleaner shrimp....I probably wouldn't add any small sexy or peppermint shrimp. I've actually never heard from anyone that had a shrimp eaten by one, although I did see a report of a flame hawk eating emerald crabs. I wouldn't have normally believed that, but I trust the person who reported it.
