Need overflow strainer

You'ld have better luck taking a 1/2 PVC cap and drilling a bunch of 1/8 or smaller holes in it, it would be cheaper!

Good idea, but I need something that doesnt restrict water flow at all.

The one you linked will work. I've never tried the slip version (I'm pretty sure they would work), but have used the threaded version. I used a slip to thread connection for the PVC and it will screw right in to the connection. Hopefully that makes sense.

Understood, is the low-profile a must have?

If not you can add a 1" cap (bigger) and use a PVC 1" - 1/2" reducer, that way the 1" cap can have more surface area to drain, not as NICE looking as the BRS one (BTW, the BRS will work fine).

Sorry David, did NOT see your reply!

It did, thank you!

Just so we're all clear, you did add the connector and it worked, so you're all set? Just want to make sure the issue is resolved.

EDIT: Just realized you were probably saying it made sense. Sorry about that...it's still early!!!
