We recently purchased 2 peppermint shrimp to go in our 20 gallon reef tank. We just got them to help with some of the algae and detritus that grows. A day or so after putting them in we noticed our Xenias staying closed. The next day we noticed the shrimps picking at the acans. We have tried getting them out with a net, our hands, and a bottle trap. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

A hawkfish will eat them if you want to go that route.

I doubt the shrimp are dong dammage to the corals.
Just cleaning stuff off of them.
The corals are not used to the attention.

Do you see actual damage?

Okay thanks! And as of now we see no damage. The Xenias being closed for 2 days now just had us curious since it was the same time we added the shrimp. Also we have little hermit crabs crawling that would crawl on them before this and they never did that.
