So two weekends ago I brought home a trio of pictillis and so far just one is eating. The other two come out on occasion but don't eat, usually slowly swim back to their hides and watch. I've tried many many foods. Here's what I've been feeding my tank; live brine shrimp, mysis, live back worms, LRS reef frenzy, rods ROE, reef nutrition ROE, plankton, nutramar ova, live then frozen diced up clam, and spirulina brine. I've tried garlic and selcon. Any ideas at all? Only thing I can think of at this point is my hippo tang is too boisterous when food is around.

It's already at 76-77, when I took up my chiller I'll shoot for 75. I will try dimming lights thanks... Any ideas what foods to predominantly try?

I have found pictilis to be quite difficult to acclimate and get eating. Bought a quartet a few months ago, and all four died over the course of the first few weeks. They were in QT and all did eat, but then died for reasons unclear to me. FWIW, they do not do well at higher temps. Bimacs area far more accommodating large anthias - and just as attractive.
