Does anyone know where or if I can purchase the plastic support rims for a standard 75 gal tank. My wife does not know it but I know she is getting me a 75 gal tank for Christmas. The problem is that I've seen it and I have my work cut out for me. The tank (used of course) needs to be recaulked, glass cleaned, and the supports are broken. The stand needs reworked which is not a problem. Bless her heart she just wanted to save a few $$. I still love her all the same.
P.S. I tried to find a name on the tank and couldn't
Thanks, Ed

Might want to look at going rimless if its possible. Maybe eurobraced. I saw somewhere that did sell the rims but would depend on what brand tank you have.

Talk to your lfs they should be able to get it for you and maybe they can help you figure out the make as well. Euro bracing may work but rimless will not. The glass on those tanks is not thick enough and is designed to work with the center brace. I once had the center brace on a 55 gal break on me and the tank was bowing to the point that it was scary, I seriously thought it would pop. I bough a new plastic rim from the lfs and replaced it.

I think petco had some online. Do you know what brand tank it is?

Not sure of the brand. I do know it is an older tank. (poor wife thinks she done good) I think I found what I need at glasscages.com. I'll have to call them tomorrow.

Definitely done good. Awesome wife to get you a tank and put up with your obsession.
