I finished re plumbing my aquarium today to replace my reeflo dart with dc pump and once I finished and plugged it up. Water went everywhere!

What I hadden noticed was that one of the T"s had splt. Please see pic. This T is between two elbows with no room to splice. Is there a way to fix this without me starting all over again?

Is there a way to patch or glue this where it will not leak?

Sorry there is no way to functionally repair that split which is very common in T fittings. Consider using schedule 80 fittings. They are a bit thicker and less likely to split/crack.

C clamps rubber collar and loctite marine goop. Its only temp. Once a pipe splits its replace time.

This is sched 80. Is there a way to remove from the split and replace?

Sorry to hear about this, you must've put some torque to the piping to split sched 80. But I would recommend moving up and downstream from the split T and finding good places to cut out and couple in new piping the was removed. Only true way to do it correctly and give you piece of mind

Uugh. Yeah I need a temp solution to get aquarium sump up and running until I order all new plumbing

What about using a barb fitting off your return pump and plumb some flex hose back into the top of your tank just to get the main display back up and running.

Thanks for idea. I took my mixing pump and hose and taped the hose over edge of aquarium from sump.

Was able to get everything from home depot and lowes and my spares to make a 2nd run at it. Have just fixed all the dribbles from gaskets so far. Hopefully new plumbing is good to go.

Thanks everyone
