Hi everybody. Here is the story. I was gone for five days and had a good pet sitter.
Day 1 disaster, she sent me this pic attached of my torch that looks like it got shredded. I told her to get it out of the tank and she did.
Day 2, Power was out for 3 hours. Backup generator on.
Day 5, came home and since (11days) have lost 3 torches, my bta no longer has tentacles but is still attached. Lost one rfa.
Could this have been bjd or something else going on.

Kept an eye on my apex the whole time and there was no major swings.

It’s tough to say but considering you lost torches pretty much exclusively, it sounds and looks like Brown jelly disease. Sometimes I’ve seen anemones and other LPS die from jelly disease. I’ve never looked at it under a microscope so not sure if it was the same bacteria. Regardless, I think this is the culprit seeing as how you still have acros and other corals doing ok. Keep an eye on your Duncan (I think that’s what I see in the background, its a little blurry) . Someone who would be a great help to you would be Danny at Kung Fu Corals. You can find him on instagram, not sure if he’s on here.

Its hard to tell from image provided but the first to determine would be the amount of tissue/tentacles that remain and if they are retracted or melting. They'll get bacterial issue before bjd. The location on sand is not ideal for this type of coral and you want to elevate it to at least mid tank under moderate light and water flow for now to see if it bounces back. The calcium is not critical where its currently at but should be at least 400
Three hours of no flow should not have caused this as they endure longer periods of darkness and no flow in shipment.
You stated that the corals were moved by sitter as you told her get it out of tank. Question is, what was difference in salinity-ph-temperature from display tank and how long out of water as it can cause the polyps/tentacles to tear and become prone to infection followed by necrosis.
