At present I use an API to test my water parameters, which is frustrating me at the moment because I am beginning to realize it's not all that accurate. I also take my water to my LFS so that I can compare the results. API shows me false positives on Ammonia and Nitrates which has me VERY stressed out. I do 20% water changes bi-weekly with Red Sea water, run the right sized skimmer for my tank, and all my fish, corals, and inverts are healthy and happy. Can anyone recommend a test that isn't going to make me think my fish are going to die any day now? I have read that the Red Sea test isn't that accurate as well from other users.

Sorry for the frustration from the kits.
I recommend Salifert, Red Sea, Nyos and Hanna checkers. I use different kits for different tests too, some are simpler than others.
API is not a very reliable kit and isn't used by serious hobbyists, it might be better suited for fish only setups.

Thank you!!! I just ordered the complete Salifert tests.
