Need recommendations on Heater Controller

I switched out my Ink Bird for a Bayite 15A two weeks ago for the same reason.
so far the Bayite is working well. I have set so I get no more than a 1.2 degree temp swing total (heat to cool). It has .1° resolution. So far it’s been working flawlessly.

I use a stupid finnex.

I don’t understand why using a heater controller that is no more reliable than the ones on our heaters are such a thing but they are.

I’m not saying I disagree with using a controller. I disagree with using a **** controller, and they all seem to be.

I think the digital thermostat in even the cheapest controllers are a little better than the bimetal thermostat in most aquarium heaters.

Use the Ranco. Industrial quality and almost foolproof. I use one on my chiller and second on my backup heaters. The whole ‘wearing out’ apex outlets smacks of urban myth to me. I’ve a few EB8 approaching eight years old without any problems.
