Hi All---
Here are the specs:
60 gallon cube with 20 gallon sump
Tank has no rock in display--only 2 bonsai structures from west mariculture
Marine Pure Ceramic Media Block in refugium section of sump
Tank has about 8 small acro colonies grown from frags---no other corals
low bioload (8 fish less than 3 inches each).

I need something that is not going to be oversized. The current skimmer is oversized and doesn't pull much out due to low bioload. I feel that appropriate sized skimmers consistently pull out more gunk.

Looking for something that is rated at the very highest of 100 gallons although would prefer something rated for less.

I have plenty of room in the sump (trigger systems cube sump)

I'm open to all brands...would like to try something different other than reef octopus which is what I have now.

Don't want to spend more than 300.

Thanks for any input.

Vertex skimmer
Or much better on lifereef but price is over your limit

Don't know much about life reef but I'll check it out.
Thanks!
Any others?

That guy who was selling a nyos 120 on here for $300 would have been perfect. I have the exact setup tank and sump (not filtration) but am in the market for a nyos myself. Just have to wait for the right deal. They retail new for $399.99

Some euroskimmer works pretty well but I feel like it could be better.

Asm skimmers work great. You can find them used all the time. The only thing I would mod on a Asm is the gate valve mod

Thanks for the suggestions. I bought a bubble magus curve 5. The reviews are great and I had a 75 dollar gift card so for 125 cash it is worth a try. I'll update once I get it in the mail.
