I just got an acan echinata The store had it under some lights that really brought out some color in it. It is almost 100% orange. I could tell it had a lot of color that had been bleached out, but it looked like it may turn out ok...and it was marked down due to condition/health.

I have it in a 20L frag tank, with another acan, which seems to really love the lighting and other conditions.

here are a couple pictures of it. One is under actenics and one is not.

Anybody have tips on how to rehab it?

Here is the one that sits next to it. As you can see, it's healthy and happy.

They bounce back pretty quick.. like posted above, try spot feeding when the feeders are out.

I've been trying, but the tentacles aren't coming out. Some of the "eyes" are even open in the middle. It's had no shortage of food, for sure...that is if it is actually eating it. The flesh isn't swelling up any at all right now. It's under t5's, in my frag tank. Palys and Zoas love the light, and the other echinata seems to be happy.. so I guess I just have to give it time. I got this thing pretty cheap, but if it gets healthy again, it should be a really nice piece.

I would place them in lower light and FEED!
