Need Some acrylic Advice.

Hey Acrylic Guru's,
As the title says I need some advice on acrylics. I have done a few acrylic projects, that have turned out ok. I probably know just enough that I could cause some real trouble. My question is, If I build an ATO reservoir, does it need to be made from cellcast acrylic? I know anything going under strong reef lights needs to be cellcast. Will my ATO reservoir be ok? Thanks for the advice.

Any acrylic is fine in reefing... its the thickness that matters because if to thin i will bow from water pressure over time and can cause seal failure. And sense u want a ATO top off and its around lights I would suggest black acrylic that way light wont get to your clean water and have algae or ever mold produce which would be a disaster for a reef system IMO

Correct..... any acrylic will work.
The black will block the light, but will also absorb heat if you are that close to the light.
Can you place the ATO someplace where the light won't effect it?
Be sure to add a lid to cut down on evaporation as well.
