Ok so that's out of the way lol. I have a cali tort that has been my top grower from day one. Had a cyano issue and used chemiclean. It worked and didn't affect any of my corals except the cali tort. It slimmed, and started stn'n. I've dipped it in Bayer and have moved it with no positive results. Could this be bacterial? If so how do I treat it? Thanks for any help in advance.

I don't personally have a Cali Tort, but it could have gotten affected by the wild pH swings that happens with Chemiclean. Best thing to do is minimize any further changes and dose some Aminos to help it recover. Some corals are sensitive to certain things, pH, flow, Alk, light... Maybe someone with that coral can help more than me.

Thanks. I'll get some amino acid. Yeah it's weird, I have an Oregon tort as well and it's thriving.

Oh no, it was done and a10% one since then. It's been three weeks since the chemiclean. I usually do a 10%wc every week but had to work last weekend.

Two important things that the 25% post treatment does... One is help rebalance the system, the other is to dilute the toxins the cyano release as they die. Running carbon or ChemiPure or the like is good to do as well after treatment.
I've done Chemiclean in the past, and I don't think it's the antibiotic used in the product that causes issues for folks, it is more the side effects of the high CO2 and all that brings, and the cyano die off.

Ya I really didn't like using it. I put a bubbler in the tank for four days. I run a carbon/GFO reactor as well. A friend of mine just uses amoxicillin. I'll be heading to the lfs today for some amino acids.
