I currently have a marineland 60 gallon cube, with an eshopps R200 refugium as the sump and reef octopus 110 skimmer. The tank has been up and running around a year with me. I bought it already running and we moved it. Since buying it I put a cpr overflow and bought an eshopps rs75 sump before buying the R200 sump. Anyhow, I have the chance to buy an marineland 150 DD cube, single corner overflow tank for a very reasonable price. Also has a custom sump and an ATB skimmer. The tank has never been filled with water. I regret not starting from the get go with my current tank, doing the rockscape picking the sand and so on. If I was to buy this tank I would get in no hurry with it as I would need lights, rock, heaters, sand, other misc equipment. Since buying my 60cube I've wanted to go bigger. Am I going to be happy with this tank size? Anyone out there with one that can give me the pros and cons? The wife and kids don't even want to hear talk of tearing the 60cube down so I'll be taking care of two tanks! I want to pull the trigger I just am unsure if I'm getting in over my head! Advice please! Here is my current tank

Taking care of the 120 gallon will be easier than the 60 gallon, so you shouldn't worry about the workload too much.
Pros: More fish are available to keep
You'll have two tanks
You can keep a reef tank and a fish only tank
Cons:
It'll be more work, time, and money

It's never enough my friend ;)

It will be more work, but would allow a completely different setup!
The new/different setup could require lots of extra maintanance and money initially.

Really nice looking 60 BTW

Thanks for advice and kind words. I pulled the trigger on the 150 DD!

I'm stoked! I literally filled up my truck and my wife's suv with stuff and need to make another trip. Just off the top of my head I got an RO system, two sumps, ATB skimmer, an 80 gallon drilled tank, two 20 gallon tanks, three five gallon buckets of rock, three brute cans for water mixing, a tunze ATO tons of chemicals, hoses, float valves, 4-model 5 pumps that's just what I remember seeing!

I haven't done much i ended up getting kidney stones right after bringing the tank home! I started another thread that I plan to update as I get the tank together. I need to get some lighting ordered and start the rock work. My other thread is in member tanks labeled 150 DD cube. Check it out I have posted a few questions on it.
