After noticing a small dark patch and white spots on my kole tang on Saturday, I pulled all fish out of my DT on Sunday afternoon to fresh water dip and treat with copper in a QT. Unfortunately my tang died before I could even treat him. Now with clown fish having been FW dipped and in copper for the last couple of days their symptoms have really gotten a lot worse. Do I need to pull and FW dip again? Or are they to far gone to even help?

Do you have a QT tank set up? Start treatment by mixing Metroplex and focus to bind the meds to frozen food. As a little extra add vitirmane M and C for the immune system. You can Treat this in the DT. If you can setup a QT tank, then treat the tank with coppermine and feed the mixture I suggested. I would also suggest that you pull all the fish if using a QT and let the DT flow for 75 days. If you treat in the DT then treat for two weeks and watch the system for the symptoms and if the symptoms pop up again treat.
It is best you QT and let the tank Follow, her is a thread on QT link

What is the copper level at? What brand of copper are you using and which test kit are you using? I agree that looks like it could be velvet, brook is another possibility though that depends on the answers to my questions.

I'm on the fence as to whether this is velvet or possibly brook. To account for both diseases, I would perform a 5 min FW dip on all fish and then do one of the following:
OR
  • 45 min formalin bath, followed by transfer into a clean/sterile QT. Treat with copper for 30 days. (One formalin bath is usually sufficient to clear brook, without any followup treatment using metronidazole.)
The blue links above provide more detailed info for each treatment.

I'm at .5 right now, I bumped it up from .25 yesterday afternoon. I'm using cupramine and testing with an API kit.

The API kit isn't capable to reading cupramin (ionic copper) accurately enough to be sure of the copper levels. It's made to read chelated copper like coppersafe which has a much higher therapeutic range than cupramine. The Seachem kit is made to read the lower levels of cupramine. I would suggest getting the seachem kit to be sure your copper levels are correct.
