Need some direction for Tang food

I need to find out what any of you might suggest for a additional food source for one of my tangs. If any of y'all remember, I have been battling HLLE in one of my tangs, my 5 inch chevron. The HLLE has stopped and hasn't progressed since I narrowed my issue to carbon dust. Here is my issue: I can feed all three tangs (scopas, chevron, naso) a hole lot of different items, but the chevron will only consume my omega flakes. I feed a mix of omega one w/ garlic, rogers reef food, spectrum pellets, and brown nori soaked in garlic and ammino. About once a week I pull either feather calupera or cheato out of a seperate refugium and offer it as well. My scopas and naso will not let a meal pass, but the chevy will attempt everything and I only see him take down the flakes and whatever he pulls from rocks and glass. BTW, I've tried steamed veggies too.

I would use regular green nori. Gl

Try new life spectrum pellets. They have said that it reverses and prevents HLLE on their site. Very healthy food.

hey salt .. i could send you some of the stuff i use .. i got it at the sushi market right around the corner from me .. its roasted nori .. seems to be helping the tang i have been taking care of in my tank maintenance job .. it has totally stopped on her yellow and the fins are start to show signs of coming back .. her hippo has gotten a lil better as of late too .. the white spots around her eyes are starting to go away and her side fins have stopped eroding .. if you want to try that i would be willing to ship you some since your in fla too there would be NC ..

That would be awesome!!!! My chevy's fins are completely back, but I've named him/her "scar face"!!! I really am trying to boost the skin back. Thought of having my wife tame him to the nail shop for a pedicure (just kidding) thinking that my help the errosion. Please let me know what you need from me so I could get that from you. I swear by Ocean Nutrition formula 2 flakes. they ahve never failed me for my tangs...

I feed the entire tank tonight. He ate his usual: omega one w/ garlic and ammino omega added. He also ate the cycopleze that was floating throughout. Tried nori and spectrum pellets and then disguarded them. I will say that it appears that I can see stripes coming thru under the HLLE areas (maybe I'm looking too hard).

One time i heard that beta carotene reversis hlle not shure though/but my tangs get fed nori every other day and get rods food soked in garlic and selcon for 1 hour... every day



And my tangs also get ulva / gracilaria every other day

Oh Man it makes my purple tangs colors so bright

Thanks. I'm trying the nori that fish&corals sent right now and some spectrum medium pellets I picked up. HLLE still there. I see faint lines under the HLLE that are original markings. Not sure if I caught the disease quick or I'm helping him get better.
