I have an older 130 gallon tall tank with two drains. As you can see in the picture I have two Neptune FLOs that work very well. I have them aimed up to try to keep them from blowing the sand too badly. If they are turned up too high I get serious bare spots in the bottom of the tank. Nice thing is I no longer have issues with cyno and algae is almost completely gone. I think the kessil grow light over the refugium really made a difference there.

My concern is that I might not have enough flow in the back middle. I don't want a dead spot back there. I am tempted to get another FLO since I have an extra spot on my Apex. With that I would put low in the middle and see if I can get a little more water movement back there. Alternatively considering a gyre in the middle for the extra flow.
I am also open to suggestions for moving my FLOs. Sitting here looking at the picture makes me think I should move one of them to the top....

Am I worrying too much or is it a legit concern?

I recently added two gyre XF230's to supplement my two MP40's on my 120 gallon. Made a big difference with SPS growth. Have more than doubled my two part dosing to keep up with growth in the last 2 months. SPS love it, LPS not so much.

If your going towards an SPS dominant tank then in the future another FLOW would be great. With your current setup and would not do anything; Give it time.
