velvet, IcK, am I being paranoid? Still eating and roaming around. Not breathing hard. Not sure if it’s the light, did not notice yesterday or this morning.

Question, there are other fish in my DT, if the rest don’t show any signs I don’t need to QT them, correct? Or do I need to move everyone e to QT?

Here he is today in QT, looks like he lost all purple color. Almost looks grey. Is that normal?

Assuming it’s ich or parasitic then it’s in your tank. So yes if you want to eradicate. Would require a fallow period and moving every fish out of your DT. You would need to QT everything new added in the future. To avoid reintroduction. Lots of information and discussion on R2R.

There are other options such as ich management which is what I do but that means living with it in your tank. Also a ton of info here on that route if interested.

Sorry to ask, been searching,

The first photo shows ich. All of the other fish have been exposed to it then, and will likely develop it as well. You’ll need to get the copper level up to fill ASAP using a good test kit.
The pale coloration is due to being in a bare quarantine tank, but also you need to monitor the ammonia level in that tank.

No need to be sorry. I didn’t mean for my reply to sound rude if it did. :)
Dealing with ich is annoying - if anything I was just annoyed because it reminds me of what I’ve had to deal with. Good luck!
Hey, I did not finish writing the response, I was going to ask where it was but stopped when I found it, somehow I posted part the message. :)

Thanks everyone for helping and so quickly. Unfortunately the little guy did not make it. I suspect the stress was brought on by a hawk fish whom I removed after a day but it was possibly too much to fight off illness. I will find the hawk a home with larger fish so he is happy.

now, cleanup. What is the best way to clean the aquarium and all wet parts since I was dozing copper?
