Hello all, so here's the story I hurt myself at work a few months ago and wasn't able to take care of my tank like I would usually be able to now I have a bit of a rehab project on my hands. I've noticed that the tank has grown reddish brown hairlike algae so I was wondering if you all could give me some cleanup advice

Check your water. I'm sure you have plenty of phosphates and nitrates. You can start with water changes and some form of nutrient export. If you have a skimmer, you may want to consider beginning a carbon dosing regimen or starting a GFO reactor. It's not nearly the worst I've seen, and I bet with nutrient control you could get things back on track in a few weeks.

Thanks it's a 100 gallon tank should I start wit a larger water change or just my normal amount?

Looks like a lot of detritus. I would do a 50gal water change after you've blown the rocks off with a turkey baster or powerhead. The as stated above a BioPellet reactor OR gfo reactor. Should be good in no time
