so moral of the story i have a 120gal tank with mixed sps lps and 2 good sized clams. I dose brightwell alk and calcium at the momoent but I recently bought a hour so I have neglected the tank since I am no longer at my parents every day to look after it. At some point about a week ago I came home to a empty dosing container. When I tested alk it was at 50ppm. I buffered it to 160 with baking soda and refilled my containers. Came back 2 days later to it back down to 50ish alk. Buffered again. Now we are 3 days ago i did a 40gal waterchange as my euphylia was not lookin hot and I have alot. Now today I'm on to do a 60 gallon water change. But I just tested m alk and its 46ppm and my calcium is 230ppm. Obviously out of balance what can I do o level everything out asap to get re stabilized. Should I buffer clcium first then alk then water change or change water then buffer everything? Really stressed lol 70ish heads of black torch and tons of golds. Any help thanks

Any chance your test kits are incorrect? Have you had your LFS test your water?
Then again, with a lot of corals in a tank, it could be consuming everything really fast. Maybe dose it to the levels you want, and check it every 3 or 4 hours to see how it drops?

I use hanna checkers and I double checked them with my salifert kits and still the same i does 54ml of calcium and 54ml of alk 4 times a day which kept up with consumption untill now not sure how to get the balance back
