About 6 months ago I picked up a frag from someone, it was just green and purple tip. Healthy coral about 2-2.5 tall. It's been doing great , it grew a few stems off the base which I snapped off and made a few other frags. Now in the last month it has totally changed color to a rainbow type.
So with that said here's my question, one... what is it, and two ...how long can these stay dormant for before showing true color.

Pic 1 is when I got it (top acro)
, pic 2 and 3 are frags off it. ..One with blue lighting one with the "flash on " on my phone.

Looks a lot like my WWC tricolor stag. Too small to tell. Not sure on species but it's very nice!

Thanks rovster , after looking a few pic that are out there I'm going to say that looks about right. Did yours stay darker or change to a lighter color

I got mine from Aquanut. Its forms a dark green base (very rich green) with royal blue tips and yellow at the very end. Mine is not as green as Mikes, but its a very nice coral if that is in fact what you have. In low nutrients, the green goes to a tan color. Similar colors to a tricolor valida, but totally different growth form.

Here is mine a few months ago, at the time I had low nutrients so its more of a tan/green. Mike's is like Crayola green, LOL!
