Need some help with Naso Tang disease ID

First let me say I know absolutely nothing about fish disease. But yesterday I noticed my blonde naso had a big black spot on his side and then today it has gotten worse with like a whitish ring around the black spot almost like a fungus of some sort. I have no idea how or why or what to do at this point so I am looking for some help here guys/gals.

The first four pics are from yesterday when I noticed the spot and the last pic is from today showing the whitish fungus around it.
Tang is acting normal and eating and grazing normal also.

Fungal or bacterial infection of some sort possibly. Have you removed the fish and put it in a hospital tank? If not I would do that pretty soon just to be safe. #reefsquad @Humblefish may have a better idea of what you're dealing with. But definitely get him out and in QT

Thanks crabs......I have not removed him yet, not going to be easy. I have a 10g I can set up for QT, I will get it going now.

No I dont have any nems or frogspawn, torch or hammer corals nothing like that. I did notice the other day my yellow tang got a little aggresive with him and possibly smacked him a few times with his tail. Could that be it?

It's possible. Whatever caused it, the worry now is it might be getting infected. You have two options:

1. Leave the fish in the DT, and food soak vitamins to help his immune system deal with this naturally: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/vitamins-herbal-remedies.304287/
2. QT and treat with antibiotics: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/antibiotics.283711/

If you go with Option #2, I would also give him either an Acriflavine or Methylene Blue bath en route to QT.

Both options have their pros & cons at this point, especially if it's going to be troublesome to catch him. However, if it starts looking worse and/or he stops eating then strongly consider Option #2. The downside to waiting for that to happen is by then it may be too late...

Thank you Humble!! I will read up on the links you provided. I have some Selcon, would soaking some nori in Selcon be a good start?
Option 1 is definitely the easiest for me due to the difficulty of catching the tang, I will probably start there. Thanks again.
At this point he is acting completely normal and eating fine so hopefully he can fight off whatever it is. Strange to say the least as I have never seen anything like it and couldnt find any pics online that looked like it. Lets hope for the best.

EDIT: Just read the first link so I am going to soak some nori in Selcon and start there.

The other white spots look like insertion points for ich or perhaps velvet. One of those may have become infected. Sometimes, naso show blotchiness as a sign of stress but that looks like it’s afflicted with ich, if I had to guess.

Do you treat and quarantine all additions?
