So I am trying to setup two K7 Pro III lights I received (but am awaiting the mounting brackets lol). I've installed the app, reconfigured my router to only run at 2.4Ghz. I have no idea which mode I'm supposed to use AP/LAN. Since the light doesn't give a MAC address, I'm assuming I need to use AP mode, but when I go to scan for it's network there aren't any K7 type network names, just my house network and the neighbors. So how the heck do I get this app to connect to the lights?

I’m not sure but I’ve always found that someone has made a YouTube video about every light I’ve ever purchased. Might be worth a try searching there. That or contacting the light manufacture.

I run 2 k7 mini lights on my 20g. I have it in ap mode, when I turn wifi on it shows the light fixtures under the list of available networks. Select the one you want and the app will establish its connection from there. If your not seeing the lights listed they must not be talking to your router as it should. I would run through the connecting options again and make sure it's set up right for ap. Don't remember exactly how it's done but on mine I remember pushing/holding buttons down until I got the correct colors and flashes lol

AP mode is Access Point mode. It's a direct connection to the device. It doesn't talk to your router. The device itself is the router in a sense...

Well my main point being said device is not talking to said light fixture and running through the connection settings is beneficial. Thank you for the timely correction tho

I just got one as well. Mine is set to AP mode running an automatic schedule (kind of). If I switch my wifi on my phone back to my home network the light will not follow the auto schedule. Any advice?

Absolutely no idea here. @noopsyche might have an answer for you though.

Have you tried to factory reset it yet?
