Recently my Zoas have been not opening up. I was inspecting them today and found this and can't seem to identify it. I think it may be a small feather duster or aiptasia but I'm not sure and wanted to get some opinions.

I'm sorry it's hard to see, but it's the white tony object in the center.

I also have been finding these webs on some Zoas

And lastly, my Duncan looks like this after I feed him and won't open completely up

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance

It did. I cut it off carefully and took it out of my tank. I'm really thinking a combination of pods and vermerid snails are irritating the Zoas

The duncan has improved some. Zoas still aren't opening. I thought the same thing about pods, but they are crawling all over my Zoas day and night so I associated the interaction of the two to the Zoas behavior. My tank is not ready for a wrasse yet so I'm not quite sure what to do till then besides limit feedings

I do a 5 gallon water change every Sunday. I run a current orbit marine for 8 hours a day.

My chemistry is as follows:

Nitrates 0
Phosphates ,25
Calcium 420
Alk 10.5
PH 8

Thank you for all trying to help

I noticed my zoas closed up awhile and was having some brown algae around them. After using a turkey baster and blowing the stuff off, fixing my flow, and just letting them be for a couple of days they are now opening again.

Also how you liking the orbit? I had one on my 54g and didn't do a bad job but my zoas didn't like it as much as they like my Kessils.

I like the orbit for the price, but can't comment more on it than that. I don't want to attribute any of the coral behavior to the light as the tank is new. I will do a review on it in a few months from now

I have had the coral for a few weeks. My phosphates are at.25 but that number had slowly been decreasing since I have been using NoPoX
