Hey guys I am getting a 300 gallon tank in a couple of weeks and in preparation of it getting here I am trying to figure out how it is I am going to mix up 300 gallons of salt water...... Does anyone have a storage container that can hold large amounts of water? around 100 gallons or so I can rent it from you if need be.

I don't want to spend 800.00 for a 300 gallon storage tank to use it only one time.

Brute 44 gallon trash cans. Two would run less than $100 and you can use them later on one for FW and one for stored SW.

Or just use your tank to mix because it will still take days to make that much water anyways.

Go to Tractor Supply and get a Stock Tank 100g - $70, 150g - $125, 300g - $210. I have a two 100g vertical tanks that I bought from National tank outlet. They were a little over $100 each.

HTHs

Why can't you mix it in the tank?

I'm also a fan of both of the solutions offered earlier. I used Brute Trash cans with my 240g tank, we use them at the store, and they use them at the hatchery. But if you have that large of a tank, having a 100g holding tank isn't a bad idea.
