I need some help. As many know, Matt Lowery is my business partner, and basically my brother. My right hand man, and my go to for everything that I do that I need an extra hand.
Matt lives in Jacksonville. He's a retired firefighter, a sheriff's deputy, a ER nurse, and now, a flight medic. All he does is save lives.
For months, he and I have been working on his personnel tank. To begin with, he bought my 240 from me, almost a year and a half ago.
Unfortunately, it was damaged during the set up. I offered to refund him money, and he refused. He simply isn't the type to accept help.
Fast forward a few months and Matt moves into an awesome little house. Had a great spot to set up a grow out tank, and basically, Matt's dream tank.
So we went to work.
He found an awesome 96" x 24" x 16" tank that he REALLY liked.
3 Kessil 700's, a Synergy Sump, MP40's all around, and as many tangs as we could fit in it.
It was a gorgeous looking tank, and it was coming along nicely. Matt needed this tank. As much as he sees everyday, this was his escape from it all.
Unfortunately, just a few days after qting everything, Matt lost it all.
Everything in his growout for RTA, and everything in gorgeous tank.
An EF-3 tornado ravaged Jacksonville, and Matt was one of the victims.
Thankfully, Matt was at work and was safe.
Around midnight on March 17, Matt calls me, basically in tears.
The ONLY thing he's worried about is his livestock. Not worried about his car, nor the rest of his house. It's just his livestock.
His house needs rebuilding. There is no way to repair the structural damage. Everything is covered, insurance wise.
Except his tanks, of course.
I don't want him to have to worry about it.
I would appreciate it greatly if everyone could help me replace his tank. I'm reaching out to all of my suppliers. I'm going to get as much as I can, but it's not something I can afford at the moment.
Its going to be quite awhile before Matt has a home, so we have time. If anyone knows of a way to help out, or has extra funds, I would greatly appreciate it.
The pictures are of his house and the damage to his tank. Please share this with everyone, but try to keep Matt L out of the loop. He's simply too humble to accept help.
