Need Some help

Need some help here to figure out what's what. I have not made any changes to my tank but about a month ago started noticing this weird growth in the overflows and sump. I run the APEX DOS for AWC of about 5 gallons per day. I did a 45 gallon water change about a month ago and siphoned out the sump to make it clean but this stuff keeps coming back. Any thoughts or ideas?

Mag 1340
Nitrate 4.9
Phos 0.06

I just sent out a Triton test so will see what that says.

I have a similar situation and think it is a good sign. I have to admit that I have been so lazy that I have yet to put the stuff under the microscope. It is out of sight, not clogging up anything to badly and seems happy to grow and consume nutrients (it has to if it is generating mass)m it has a place in my system

How long has the tank been running?
What kind of salt are you using?
Any issues in the display?

Display tank is fine, tank is 12 years old using Red Sea Coral Pro, haven't changed since day 1

Do you carbon dose? Do you dose into your sump?

Dosing is done with three things only:
2 Part ALK and CALC and then NOPOX.
