As mentioned, I'm in the final phase of stocking my 300g. The following is what I have in the tank now. Help me with a few more choices that would go great with this group I have now.

Yellow sailfin tang
Fuzzy dwarf lionfish
Heniochus butterfly
Purple dotty
Firefish
Melanurus wrasse
Yellow flanked fairy wrasse
Coral beauty angel
Niger trigger
Foxface
Cleaner wrasse
2 azure damsels
Leopard wrasse
Royal gramma
Pair of black oscellaris clowns

I'd really like a unicorn or vlamingi tang as they are beautiful. Also thinking a nice pairs of angels (Genicanthus). The lion is small and is eating frozen like a champ so I don't foresee any issues. Let me know what you guys think.

Do you have corals? I'm starting to stock my 265 gallon, and I like a lot of what you have here. I'm curious with the butterfly because I hear mixed answers about it being reef safe.

I love the idea of a pr or trio of Genicanthus, watanabi is my favorite of these.

A vlamingi is great too.

Yes I do have corals in the tank. Mostly softies and LPS. I haven't had any real issues with the heniochus so far.

Great, thank you. They have a trio on dd but it's pretty pricey. I'll keep looking. Watanabi's are by far my favorite. Do u think I could do those and the vlamingi?

I think they should be fine.

The 1 thing I don't see is an eel. A golden dwarf or chainlink would add something a bit different.

The dwarf pretty much stays in the front of the tank. They dotty and fire fish have their own territory in the back. No issues so far. The dwarf has been in a couple weeks now and has been a model citizen. Eats frozen well. I know the risks well. Thanks for the concern.

I totally agree Duke. As soon as I get my cover from artfully acrylic I'll explore my options well. I've always wanted an eel, my kids as well.

I've been eyeing a pair off crosshatch triggers on eBay for a while as well. With a 400 price for the pair is a great deal. Just don't know how my Niger would react to that.

I have a 300 gal as well. I was advised that a Crosshatch trigger needs 8 ft of tank length to be happy. See what experts here say.

Thanks guys.. Eva can u share what all you have stocked in your 300 please?

I have:
1 Blonde Naso male - beautiful & great temperament
1 Bluechin Trigger female - nice but spazzy
1 Whitetail Bristletooth - fun to watch
1 Blotched Anthias - a favorite he added the most interest to my tank
Bonded pair Midas Blennies - always active
Bonded pair Bristletail Filefish
Bonded pair Helfrichi Firefish
4 Bartlett Anthias - can be cranky
1 Pixy Hawkfish
1 Longnose Hawkfish
1 Bluespot Jawfish
1 Orange Spotted Blenny -lots of personality
1 Yellow flanked fairy wrasse
1 Red Head Solon Fairy wrasse
1 McCosker Flasher
1 YWG
1 Pinkspotted Goby - on probation...it can be a bully
On my wish list is a Leopard wrasse!!
*Regarding jawfish- the bluespot needs cooler tanks but pearly jawfish are a great choice.
* Since you can have a Crosshatch trigger pair go for it. Their color is amazing!!

Very nice list indeed. I really like the blotched anthias as well. I've always wanted one but heard they can be difficult. Thanks for sharing.
