I can use as many extra CUC members as possible as my tank has been hit with some algea lately. So I don't mind the worms. What do you recommend for the hydriod? Keep scraping the glass and let them go into the filter floss then replace? If you are referring to the red things in 1&2, probably small bristle worms. Excellent detritivores. If you see 2, there are 100 you don't see. A very much needed part of the clean up crew
3 is a hydroid - will eventually go away on their own, but generally pretty benign
4&5 amphipods - free fish food - there are plenty more where they came from
Thank youThey will go away on their own. No action needed
wonderful pictures, mind if i steal them? Here is some more i just took.![]()

really that copepod picture was absolutely splendid for an example image, I guess if you ever get really sharp shots of small aquatic animals in aquariums it is always usefulAnything you want specifically?
they are a bit flat to be oligochaetes dont ya think?Top worm pics are detritus worms
with that statement what makes you determine it was round?Detritus worms have this very shape. Not sure how you determine they’re flat with pics as fuzzy as they are
It’s an assumption that it’s round and again... pics of worm are fuzzy but detritus worms typically climb glass as well as ribbon and dorvillidaewith that statement what makes you determine it was round?
Hey hey, take it easy on the pictures I'll try set up up my tripod last night so I shake less. I appreciate the help, I honestly had no idea they were even there until I started taking pictures of the pods and hydriods and saw them there.Detritus worms have this very shape. Not sure how you determine they’re flat with pics as fuzzy as they are. If this worm is more white than pink as it appears, then could be ribbon worm
