So I have a 32g tank which I consider successful. Has a BTA that split. After it split I let it heal and grow in the 32g. The split nem was just as beautiful in my 32g as the mother nem.
I also have a 125g that’s basically a FOWLR. I use same salt, water from same RODI and tanks kept at same temp. Only difference is nitrates are 30ppm in the 125 but only 3ppm in the 32g it came from. I’m currently working to get the nitrates down with WC’s.
My question is the nem looks completely different in my 125g vs 32g it originated from, is this the high nitrates causing this? Or too much light vs not enough light? The light in my 125 is not as good as my 32 because it’s a fowlr.
Would really like opinions. Thanks in advance.
