Hello,

Currently I have a 180 gallon reef. I am running 3 Rapid LED Onyx fixtures (http://www.rapidled.com/dimmable-onyx-by-rapid-led/). I feel like they do not provide great overage on a 180 gallon. The light does not seem to be too bright and there seems to be some darker spots with the center braces. I wanted to get some peoples opinions on lighting for this size of a tank. I was thinking of looking into some T5s, but would I need 8 bulbs or 12 bulbs? I have a couple SPS frags that are not doing that well. Tank parameters are stable. All other corals or doing fine. Could the lighting be the issue or should 3 of these units be plenty? Maybe I'm just over thinking it.

Thanks!

Im actually going to the local stained glass shop to look at frosted glass for my second tank lid. Many Leds are "spotty" and I want better diffused light for increased coverage and spread.
If there's enough firepower it wont be an issue.
Yea. weird soloution.
