Need some opinions please. *Update with pics.*
So I am wanting to add some supplemental lighting to my halide setup. I basically want something for dawn dusk, supp. when my halides are on, and also so I can cut down the amount of time I run my halides. Another goal with the lighting (and this may sound funny) is to be able keep the fish active and awake. With the schedule I am working now, I am not always here to feed the fish. Right now once the halides are off, the low wattage led strips are not strong enough to keep the fish active and awake for feeding. Anyways, what I am looking at right now is either two 5ft ATI blue + run on a workhorse 7 ballast with tek reflectors or 3 diy led actinic kits from rapid led (06 LED Actinic Supplement Kit. I just wanted some opions on either setup. The tank is a 125g. Current lighting: 3 250w Radiums on galaxy ballasts in lumenmax elite reflectors. Two 72" flexible reefbrite led strips. Thanks for any feedback.
