Time for some serious advise.
First let me share some background
My tank 3 months ago was a disaster because of hair algae.
Still no chaeto reactor running but daily auto water change of 2.5gal and feeding AB+ about 3 times a week and my skimmer skimming semi wet. Adding micobacter clean just twice a week
I still get a spot of cyano but it just blows off as its like a dust spot in 2 sec.
As of now here are my numbers and they have been this way for weeks
No3 = 3.5ppm
Po4 = .03 - .05
This leads me to the question should I startup my chaeto reactor and just stop the bacteria and let it out compete any algae that may form, or should I keep doing what I am doing?
I am trying get anyone's thoughts on this as I like different opinions
Here are before and after pics of my tank

- I used fluconazole to treat but as well know that is hit or miss
- The fluconazole worked up to a point but it was time get down to the nutrient problem instead of a bandaid fix. I had a Chaeto reactor running before I added the fluconazole. It would not keep up with the gha.
- I removed the Chaeto because I added the fluconazole and the battle was on. I got a cleanup crew from hell and went to scrubbing like a wild man. After weeks of scrubbing and removing the gha the battle was over as my cleanup guys went to town and got what was left.
