So I got on here late last night to chat with you guys when I glanced at the Frag Tank and was like man it needs water. So I told myself let me turn the RO unit on and fill it while im spending my wonderful night with reef2reef well I got tired and FORGOT to turn it off!!!

Well my wife wakes me up at 6 am 5 hours later and is like the garage is flooded I told myself half asleep Holy S*** run out there and check my salt it droped from .1024 down to .0012:ops:

So what do I do now??? Its filled with Zoas and not SPS thankfully I am emptying my water change barrel and I am going to slowly raise it up do you think this is a good idea?

Before you tell me I am retarded or an idiot I already know this :snicker:

Oh yeah I thought about taking about 25 gallons out of my 125 putting it in my frag tank to help stabalize it with good mixed water and just adding some fresh saltwater to my 125 whatcha think?

Take your time raising it back... I have a local friend who dropped his salinity so low on about 100 gallons that it appeared to be zero. He didn't lose anything in a mixed reef tank with lots of fish, sps, lps, softies, and may have even had some exotic stuff at the time. You will be fine.

slowly raise it back up little each day for the next few days, imo. What did it do to your temp? Im assuming it was comming off a COLD line?

Luckily at night my avg temp is 78.4 and during the day it raises between 79.8-80.5 I woke up this morning and it was 76.4 so that wasnt a major concern to me just the salinity drop
