Need some successful yuma keepers

Was excited to read this thread as I have ordered a few yumas and after losing my last one to a bobbit, I am super excited to start again as I love mushrooms

I have probably 10 to 15 that grew from a single dime-sized frag I bought from my LFS. I don't think I even realized it was a yuma at the time that I bought it as I too had read they were very tempermental.

I placed it on the side of my tank about halfway down where it's slightly shaded and gets moderate to low flow. It must have really liked those conditions as it has grown and spread like crazy including outcompeting some zoas.

Here they are below my leather.

Never had an issue keeping them. I think you would need a flame thrower to get rid of them. Very hardy. I often see babies rolling around the tank. I used to try to get them to attach but now I just let them be. They will settle and attach somewhere.

This is my mushroom island and all the empty spaces are spots where I had yumas . I still have a few but the expensive ones just lost color and never colored back.and eventually melted. I do have them.at bottom.of tank and see many saying they need medium to high light so not sure of that was the issue, yet my tank is highly lit
So even at bottom of the tank light isn't low.

Not sure if last one was a yuma but believe thats my nicest one I could keep alive.

Two things that have melted yumas in my tank - rapid addition of magnesium, dosing Vibrant. If you do/have done either of those, that could be a factor. Also as mentioned above, they like food and that definitely helps them rebound.
