My reef is very simple. It’s a 75 gallon with no sump. I run a reef octopus skimmer and eflux pumps. 50lbs live sand and 110lbs live rock allows me to have healthy fish and softies. I ran into a Dino problem, so I plumbed a hob Aqua uv and eco tech s2. This is essentially set up as a closed loop.
The challenge is that the tubing that leads the water out of the tank to the pump has a 1inch opening. This pump can pull 1400 gallons at top speed, but is adjustable.
What I need is to find something to cover this opening, allow the water to enter the tubing to reach the uv and to keep the fish safe. It also has to be easily removable so I can clean it as I don’t run any mechanical filtration or socks, etc.
I will try to post some pics when the lights are back on.
Thanks..
