Want to start dosing Magnesium and using BRS chloride and sulfate and just wanting to verify that my calculations are correct, they have things in gallons and I want to convert to liters so here goes.

From BRS packaging I am using the general formulation since I am dosing Kalk, they state that you need 71/4c Mgcl2 and then 1/2c MgsSo4 for 1 gallon mixture. They aslo state on the site that 71/4c MgCl2 =1,285g and 1/2c MgSo4=124g.

so...
1g=3785ml,
3785ml/1,285g=2.95ml/g
1l =1000ml/2.95ml/g=340g MgCl2

3785ml/124g=30.52ml/g
1l = 1000ml/30.52ml/g=32.76g MgSo2

so 340g MgCl2 + 32.76g MgSo2 in 500ml to mix then fill to 1liter.

Anyone see any issues with my calculations, it appears to work backwards to the gallon ratio so I think I am good but just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something, thanks. Oh and its a nano tank, 1 liter will last quite sometime.

Thanks :)

You can use their calculator and change gallons to liters as a crosscheck.

:)
Well that calculator allows you to figure out how much to dose from the misture. The calculation I am modifying is the initial mixture they have on the bags and its based on a gallon mix. I just want to break it down further into a smaller container and only mix it up when needed, my dosing container is only 1 liter.
