I don't mind helping, how big of a hole are you doing and do you have everything you need or are you needing to borrow a holesaw?

Have you found anyone yet? K&M glass will drill at $20 per hole. You need to make sure that your glass is not temptered. The bottom of a large tank is often tempered. Some of the newer tanks by Perfecto may have tempered glass for all sides.

Called K&M Glass and was told they don't drill tanks at all. Mfg confirmed the bottom is only thing tempered. Only place Ive found is huntsville glass but they want $20 a hole and $49.99 an hr labor charge. I have the drill bits but husband is afraid of breaking it himself.

I have seen people do it. It did not look so difficult. Just need patience. I also noticed that there are quite a few DIY drill your fish tank videos on YouTube. Take a look at them. You can also practice on a spare piece of glass. You might be able to get one from a glass shop free or inexpensively.

It's not hard to do at all, I've done several tanks. I offered my help earlier, I couldn't do it tomorrow but I could Sunday. Just let me know...

Don't pay any attention to beelzebub. You will end up with a monstrosity of an overflow that woud extend way out to your garage. I don't think Verdale lets him near her toilet plumbing.

Confidence is needed in this hobby! Use a diamond tipped hole saw, with a cheap low powered drill...I used a bit I bought off of aquacave.com, with a very cheap 30$ drill bought just for this application. A ryobi 9.6 v. You'll be very satisfied and happy you did the work yourself. I understand your concern with breaking the glass though...
